Luma AI Raises $900 Million and Partners with Humain on 2-Gigawatt AI Supercluster

Luma AI has raised $900 million in a Series C round led by Humain to develop multimodal artificial general intelligence and will collaborate on a 2-gigawatt AI supercluster in Saudi Arabia.

Luma AI has raised $900 million in Series C funding led by Humain, with participation from AMD Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Amplify Partners, and Matrix Partners, announced in a press release. The funding will support the development of multimodal artificial general intelligence capable of generating and understanding the physical world.

As part of the partnership, Luma AI will become a customer of Humain’s Project Halo, a 2-gigawatt AI supercluster being built in Saudi Arabia. The infrastructure is designed to train and deploy large-scale “World Models,” a class of AI systems that learn from video, audio, and language data.

The companies presented their joint roadmap at the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington, D.C., during the visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The collaboration also includes Humain Create, an initiative to train AI models on Arabic and regional data to support enterprise and government adoption across the Middle East and North Africa.
