LightMetrics Introduces Cloud AI Layer to Filter Fleet Safety Alerts

April 21, 2026
LightMetrics has announced ΦFP, a cloud AI layer that filters driver safety alerts to reduce false positives and ensure only genuine events reach fleet managers.

LightMetrics announced in a press release a new cloud AI layer called ΦFP that filters driver safety alerts before they reach fleet managers. The system is designed to eliminate false alarms that have reduced trust in driver monitoring tools.

ΦFP adds a second layer of intelligence in the cloud, where a more powerful AI model reviews every event flagged by in-vehicle cameras. This model uses greater processing capacity to apply more advanced analysis and improve accuracy.

In early customer deployments, ΦFP increased the precision of drowsiness and fatigue detection from 94 percent to 99.1 percent, reducing false positives from about 60 to 9 per 1,000 genuine incidents. The company said the result is a curated queue of alerts that only includes events requiring actual attention.
