Lightium, MPI, and Axiomatic_AI Partner for AI-Driven Photonic Testing

August 05, 2025
Lightium, MPI Corporation, and Axiomatic_AI have announced a strategic partnership to develop an AI-driven test solution for photonic integrated circuits, according to a press release.

Lightium AG, MPI Corporation, and Axiomatic_AI have announced a strategic partnership to develop the world's first Intelligent, Autonomous, and Integrated Test Solution (IAITS) for photonic devices, announced in a press release. This collaboration aims to revolutionize the testing and qualification processes of photonic integrated circuit (PIC) devices by integrating advanced AI, next-generation hardware, and deep domain expertise.

The IAITS platform is designed to enhance testing workflows by delivering increased efficiency, precision, and scalability. By combining Axiomatic_AI's AI technology with MPI Corporation's wafer probing systems and Lightium AG's expertise in photonic device measurements, the partnership seeks to address the growing complexity and performance demands in the photonics industry.

The IAITS will be available as a software add-on for MPI Corporation's wafer probing systems, supporting both research and high-volume production environments. This solution aims to set a new industry benchmark for efficiency and precision, ultimately reducing the total cost of testing and accelerating time-to-market for next-generation PIC devices.
