Lembas Unveils AI-Driven GLP-1 Solution for Weight Management

Lembas has emerged from stealth with a breakthrough in natural GLP-1 activation for weight management, announced in a press release. The company secured $3.6 million in funding to scale its AI-powered bioactive discovery platform.

Lembas has emerged from stealth mode with a significant breakthrough in the activation of GLP-1, a hormone crucial for regulating appetite and metabolism, announced in a press release. The Tel Aviv-based company has secured $3.6 million in pre-seed funding led by FLORA Ventures, with participation from several venture capital funds.

Lembas is pioneering the development of science-backed bioactive ingredients for the functional food and supplements industry. Their first product, GLP-1 Edge, is designed to naturally regulate appetite by enhancing the body's GLP-1 response. This product is available in various formats, including gummies, powder, and capsules, and aims to integrate seamlessly into everyday consumer routines.

The company's proprietary AI discovery platform rapidly screens and designs food-grade bioactive peptides that work with natural metabolic mechanisms. Within a year, Lembas has developed bioactives that have shown positive results in cell and animal models, effectively stimulating GLP-1 secretion.

With the new funding, Lembas plans to accelerate the scale-up and commercialization of its GLP-1 Edge bioactive, expand its AI discovery platform, and deepen commercial agreements across the food and supplements value chain.
