L7 Informatics Launches L7|SYNAPSE AI Layer for Regulated Life Sciences Workflows
L7 Informatics has launched L7|SYNAPSE, an agentic AI layer built on its L7|ESP platform, announced in a press release. The system is designed to make artificial intelligence operationally reliable and secure in regulated life sciences environments.
L7|SYNAPSE embeds a conversational, context-aware interface directly into the workflow execution layer of L7|ESP. Users can build agents, ask questions, generate workflows, and retrieve data using natural language or voice commands. Each response is grounded in a private, organization-specific knowledge base that includes standard operating procedures, protocols, and batch records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
The platform retrieves relevant information before invoking a large language model, providing citation-backed answers based on user permissions and real-time operational context. It integrates with major cloud and local LLMs, including Claude, ChatGPT, and AWS Bedrock, and complies with industry standards such as MCP and A2A.
L7 Informatics collaborated with early customers in laboratory, quality, and manufacturing settings to refine features such as permission-aware responses, cross-system data access, and workflow generation. The company states that L7|SYNAPSE streamlines operations across scientific and manufacturing processes while maintaining traceability and regulatory compliance.
