Kela Technologies to Integrate Innoviz LiDAR into Situational Operations Platform
Kela Technologies has signed a framework agreement with Innoviz Technologies to procure several hundred InnovizTwo LiDAR sensors for integration into its unified situational operations platform, announced in a press release. The agreement may expand to thousands of units in the coming years.
The InnovizTwo sensors will operate alongside radar, electro optical, thermal, and RF systems used by Kela across armored vehicles, border security, and perimeter defense missions. The LiDAR units will provide high resolution three dimensional perception and support sensor fusion for a single operational view.
According to Kela, adding LiDAR will improve target discrimination, situational awareness in low visibility conditions, and operational speed by reducing false alarms and consolidating sensor data. The integration aims to give commanders and autonomous systems a clearer and more reliable picture of the operational environment.
