Kargo Automates Receiving at Lineage Warehouse in Alabama

Kargo and Lineage have implemented automated receiving at Lineage's Decatur, Alabama warehouse. The system uses camera towers to capture pallet data and send it into Lineage's warehouse management system.

Kargo and Lineage announced in a press release that automated receiving is now operating at Lineage's Decatur, Alabama warehouse. The facility supports adjacent poultry plants and uses Kargo camera towers to capture inbound inventory data, including SKU and lot information, and send it into Lineage's warehouse management system.

The system identifies and logs each pallet as it arrives. Lineage has automated more than 64,000 receipts over the last six months at the Decatur site, which processes more than 500 pallets per day.

The workflow replaces manual pallet scanning, bill of lading checks, and data entry into the WMS. The companies said receipt logging now takes seconds instead of minutes, and automated load scanning is scheduled to launch at the Decatur facility shortly.
