Jet.AI and Consensus Core Plan 1.5 GW AI Data Centers in Canada
Jet.AI and Consensus Core have announced plans to form a joint venture to develop two hyperscale AI data center campuses in Canada, as stated in a press release. The projects, located in Midwestern and Maritime Canada, are expected to deliver a combined power capacity of 1.5 gigawatts.
The Midwestern Project currently has 2 megawatts of capacity live, with plans to expand to 100 megawatts within the next year. The Maritime Project will start with 40 megawatts of available capacity, aiming to scale beyond 1 gigawatt in the future. Jet.AI plans to invest $2 million initially, securing a 20% general partner interest and an 8% equity stake in the joint venture's holding company.
This collaboration leverages Consensus Core's expertise in high-performance GPU infrastructure and AI cloud services, alongside Jet.AI's capital markets experience, to address the growing demand for AI compute capabilities. The projects are strategically positioned with access to substantial power resources, including natural gas and green energy options, to support their large-scale operations.
