Infortrend Launches EonStor GSx for Enhanced AI and HPC Storage

Infortrend Technology has introduced the EonStor GSx, a parallel file storage solution designed to accelerate AI and HPC workloads, offering high performance and scalability.

Infortrend Technology has announced the launch of its new EonStor GSx parallel file storage family, designed to enhance high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. Announced in a press release, the EonStor GSx offers high-performance parallel file access and exceptional scalability, making it ideal for environments that require rapid data processing.

The EonStor GSx is capable of delivering up to 43GB/s with a single appliance, and nearly ten times that performance with a cluster of ten units. This eliminates the bottlenecks typically encountered with single storage appliances. The GSx also addresses space limitations in data centers by removing the need for additional hardware such as dedicated metadata servers and multiple I/O nodes.

For increased throughput, the GSx allows for simple expansion by adding more appliances, which linearly increases performance. It supports Linux and Windows client agents, providing parallel access without the need for additional parallel file system software. The GSx is available in U.2 NVMe all-flash models for high-performance needs and SAS HDD models for large storage capacity.
