Industrial Next Partners With BMW to Test Flexible Factory Robots
Industrial Next is partnering with BMW Group to evaluate its robotic manipulation technology for manufacturing, TechCrunch reports. The startup presented the partnership at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026.
Industrial Next builds self contained robotic stations powered by foundation models that connect machine vision, task context and motion. The company says manufacturers can teach the stations new tasks through simulation and demonstration, allowing production lines to switch tasks in minutes instead of requiring weeks of programming and physical changes.
The startup says its stations already perform smartphone assembly tasks, including threading flexible cables, attaching small connector caps and removing protective film. Industrial Next was founded in 2021 by former Tesla employees Lukas Pankau and Allen Pan.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
