IBM and Together AI signed a $240 million agreement to deploy NVIDIA HGX B300 systems on IBM Cloud for open source AI model inference, with availability expected in Q1 2027.

IBM announced a $240 million multiyear agreement with Together AI to deploy NVIDIA AI infrastructure on IBM Cloud, stated in a company press release.

Under the agreement, IBM plans to deploy a large cluster of NVIDIA HGX B300 systems on IBM Cloud. The cluster is expected to be available in Q1 2027, and Together AI will use it to provide inference for open source AI models.

IBM said the deployment will be the first dedicated large scale inference cluster on IBM Cloud using NVIDIA HGX B300 systems and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. NVIDIA said the systems are designed to deliver 30 times more AI factory output than prior generations.

Together AI recently raised $800 million in Series C funding at an $8.3 billion valuation. The company said its inference platform now serves 400 trillion tokens per month, with services covering inference, training, fine tuning, and agentic workflows.
