Hush Security has emerged from stealth, announcing an $11 million seed funding round led by Battery Ventures and YL Ventures. In a press release, the company introduced its secretless, policy-based access platform designed to secure machine identities by eliminating the need for traditional vaults and secrets.

The platform offers a novel approach by enforcing just-in-time, policy-driven access controls at runtime, which aims to mitigate the operational and security risks associated with legacy vaults and secrets managers. This shift is particularly relevant as agentic AI and automated workflows become more prevalent.

Hush Security's technology provides three integrated capabilities: runtime visibility and discovery, runtime posture analysis, and prevention and management. These features collectively replace static secrets with dynamic policies, reducing overhead and blocking credential-based threats.

Founded by the team behind Meta Networks, Hush Security is positioned to lead a policy-centric industry shift, enabling least privileged access based on runtime behavior. The company has already secured multiple Fortune 500 customers and plans to use the funding to expand its engineering team and accelerate global go-to-market efforts.
