Hesai Technology announced it will supply its JT series lidar sensors for autonomous farming robots by Agtonomy and Alpha Werke, enhancing agricultural efficiency.

Hesai Group has announced in a press release that it will supply its advanced JT series lidar sensors to support the deployment of next-generation autonomous farming robots for Agtonomy and Alpha Werke. These partnerships aim to accelerate the transformation of traditional farming into a more efficient and sustainable practice.

The JT series mini hemispherical 3D lidar sensors are designed specifically for robotics applications, offering powerful environmental perception with a compact and robust design. With an ultra-wide field of view and a minimum detection range of 0 meters, these sensors enable autonomous farming robots to perform tasks such as mowing, spraying, weeding, and hauling with precision and reliability.

Agtonomy, based in California, integrates Hesai's JT128 lidar into its autonomous farming solutions, enhancing precision automation in agriculture. Meanwhile, Austria-based Alpha Werke uses the JT16 lidar in its TracPilot solution to navigate complex terrains in challenging environments. Both companies emphasize the reliability and precision of Hesai's lidar technology in improving the efficiency and safety of autonomous farming operations.
