May 15, 2026
HData has launched Data Request Management, a new tool designed to automate and centralize data workflows in U.S. energy regulatory proceedings, aiming to reduce manual labor and improve response efficiency.

HData announced in a press release the launch of Data Request Management, a new application designed to streamline data handling in energy regulatory proceedings. The tool automates one of the most manual and time-consuming processes in U.S. energy regulation, where utilities often manage thousands of requests from regulators and intervenors during rate and policy cases.

The new system operates within HData's AI operating platform for energy regulation. It offers an integrated workflow and configurable database that centralizes historical records, tracks new discovery requests, and generates AI-assisted draft responses based on prior data. The company states that this approach reduces manual effort, increases consistency, and speeds up turnaround times.

HData's platform aggregates regulatory filings from public sources along with customer data. Its domain-specific AI, trained on 20 million documents, supports research and analysis for rate cases, compliance, and policy planning. Data Request Management is now available to organizations managing large volumes of discovery in regulatory proceedings.
