Harmony Intelligence Secures $3 Million for AI Cybersecurity
Harmony Intelligence, a US-Australian cybersecurity startup, has raised $3 million in seed funding, with Airtree Ventures leading the round. The funding also saw participation from over 30 strategic investors, including First Row Partners and Eric Ries, CEO of Adept AI. This financial boost aims to enhance Harmony's AI-driven defensive systems, which are designed to counter the increasing threats posed by AI-powered cyberattacks.
The startup, co-founded by Soroush Pour and Alex Browne, plans to use the funds to scale operations in both Australia and the US. This includes expanding their team with additional software engineers and security experts. Harmony Intelligence is focused on developing AI-automated penetration testing systems that continuously probe defenses to detect vulnerabilities, allowing organizations to preemptively patch weaknesses before they can be exploited by hackers.
Airtree partner Jax Vullinghs highlighted the growing arms race in cybersecurity, noting that as AI technology advances, so do the tools available to cybercriminals. Harmony's team, with its deep expertise in AI and cybersecurity, is well-positioned to develop solutions that anticipate and neutralize these evolving threats.
