GridFree AI Launches Platform for Rapid Data Center Deployment

GridFree AI has launched its Power Foundry™ platform, a novel solution for rapid data center deployment, announced in a press release. The platform integrates grid-independent power, battery storage, and cooling systems, significantly reducing development timelines and costs.
The Power Foundry™ platform is designed to convert natural gas into electricity and cooling with up to 90% efficiency, far exceeding traditional grid efficiency. This approach allows for a 50% increase in available power for IT loads, facilitating the deployment of more computing capacity. The platform supports both greenfield sites and expansions in areas with unreliable grid access.
Led by former executives from BP and Microsoft, GridFree AI has secured $5 million in funding from Giant Ventures and Amplo. The company aims to address the growing demand for flexible and efficient computing infrastructure, engaging with major industry players for potential partnerships.
Montauk Climate, the incubator behind GridFree AI, emphasizes the importance of integrating advanced energy technologies with rapid, modular deployment to meet the increasing demand for computing capacity in the AI era.
