Google Launches Universal Cart Across Search and Gemini

Google launched Universal Cart in the United States on October 15 across Search and Gemini, the company said in a blog post. The shopping hub lets users save products from multiple retailers in one cart and access them across Google services.

Universal Cart uses product data from Google's Shopping Graph to notify users about price drops and items returning to stock. It can also display promotional codes and use information from Google Wallet to identify benefits available through a user's payment cards.

Users can check out with Google Pay at participating stores or transfer items to a retailer's cart. Supported merchants include Nike, Sephora, Target, Ulta Beauty, Walmart, Wayfair and participating Shopify stores. Retailers remain responsible for sales confirmations and customer support.
