GitLab Joins Open Secure AI Alliance
GitLab joins the Open Secure AI Alliance to help develop open technologies, techniques and tools for securing AI systems, the company said in a blog post. The alliance brings together organizations to share security resources for software and AI agents.
GitLab plans to contribute work from its AI and security teams. The source code for its AI Gateway is public, along with agent workflow configurations for code creation, code review, secrets false positive detection and security review.
The company also publishes documentation about threats to agent systems and related controls. Its agents use explicit identities, restricted tools and permissions, sandboxed execution and auditable actions. GitLab said its systems support proprietary and open weight models across different cloud and deployment environments.
