GeoComm and Brecourt Connect Indoor Drone Response With Location Intelligence
GeoComm and Brecourt Solutions have partnered to connect indoor autonomous drone response with public safety location intelligence, the companies announced in a press release. The partnership is aimed at critical incidents inside buildings and other environments without GPS.
Brecourt's iDFR platform uses indoor drones, computer vision, live video streaming, remote operation, and AI Assist. The drones are placed inside facilities on charging platforms and can be operated from a security operations center or by a remote monitoring provider.
GeoComm provides indoor mapping and location intelligence to add location context to drone video and threat awareness. The companies said the combined system is intended to support detection, drone deployment, tracking, location awareness, and response coordination in one incident workflow.
