Gen Digital Introduces VPN and Security Tools for AI Agents

May 1, 2026
Gen Digital has launched VPN for Agents and expanded Norton AI Agent Protection within Norton 360 to secure autonomous AI operations and communications.

Gen Digital announced in a press release the launch of VPN for Agents, a consumer AI native virtual private network designed for autonomous AI agents, and the expansion of Norton AI Agent Protection within Norton 360. Both products are part of the company’s Agent Trust Hub, which aims to provide a security and privacy layer for AI agents.

VPN for Agents is built on Norton VPN infrastructure and offers encrypted, multi-tunnel connectivity for AI agents. It allows agents to operate simultaneously across multiple regions without requiring installation or manual setup. The service hides agent identity and location to prevent tracking and profiling while maintaining consistent performance across regions.

Norton AI Agent Protection is now integrated into Norton 360, providing monitoring and blocking capabilities for AI agent activity. It tracks actions and connections made by supported AI agents to prevent unsafe commands, data misuse, and exposure to malicious content. These updates extend Gen’s platform from verification into communication security and enforcement for AI-driven automation.
