Galileo Robotics Unveils Galileo X Ground Mobility System at WRC 2026
Galileo Robotics unveiled Galileo X, an Embodied Ground Mobility System, at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, the company announced in a press release. The system is described as a general purpose ground mobility platform for transport, off road handling, inspection, perception, and mobile operation tasks.
Galileo X uses the company’s Unified Embodied Ground Mobility System, which combines hardware architecture and a control framework for wheeled platforms, vehicle platforms, and legged platforms. The company said the platform coordinates mechanics, actuation, perception, and control across one system.
The platform is intended to combine indoor transport functions used by wheeled AGVs, long range vehicle mobility, and complex terrain traversal associated with legged robots. Galileo listed use cases including heavy duty off road handling, warehouse logistics, directional transfer, chassis support for humanoid robots, inspection, perception, and mobile operation platforms.
The company also said it plans to open hardware and software interfaces for Galileo X and work with algorithm developers, application service providers, and industry partners. It also said it will expand overseas channels and commercial activity in global markets.
