FocalPoint and STMicroelectronics Finalize Commercial Agreement for Automotive GNSS Reliability

July 14, 2026
FocalPoint and STMicroelectronics have entered a commercial agreement to integrate FocalPoint’s S‑GNSS Auto software with ST’s Teseo hardware, delivering improved positioning reliability for vehicles operating in complex GNSS environments.

In a press release, FocalPoint announced a commercial agreement with STMicroelectronics to combine FocalPoint’s S GNSS Auto software with ST’s Teseo hardware. The integration aims to enhance GNSS positioning reliability in difficult environments such as urban canyons and tree-lined roads.

The joint solution will be delivered through a firmware update for Teseo devices, allowing automotive manufacturers and suppliers to achieve improved location accuracy without hardware replacement. The S GNSS Auto software uses FocalPoint’s patented Supercorrelation technology to maintain precision under multipath and weak signal conditions.

Recent global testing showed that the combined system outperformed standard commercial GNSS solutions. The product is set for large-scale availability on both current and future automotive platforms.

According to the announcement, STMicroelectronics will integrate the S GNSS technology and its Precise+ innovations into the Teseo lineup, targeting sub-meter accuracy and supporting the development of advanced driver assistance and vehicle connectivity features.
