August 12, 2025
Stockholm-based Flox has raised nearly €1 million in a seed funding round to advance its AI-powered wildlife management technology.

Stockholm-based Flox, a wildlife intelligence company, has successfully closed an oversubscribed seed funding round, securing nearly €1 million. The round was led by Unconventional Ventures, with participation from Norrsken Accelerate and previous investors such as Almi Invest, E14 Invest, and Argand Partners.

Founded in 2020, Flox is pioneering the use of AI to facilitate coexistence between humans and wildlife. The company has developed an AI-powered device called Edge, which uses adaptive bioacoustics to communicate with wildlife in real time. This technology is designed to operate autonomously, providing 24/7 protection for both wildlife and critical infrastructure across sectors like agriculture, aquaculture, railways, and aviation.

The new funding will support the commercialization of Flox's technology and further research and development, with a particular focus on expanding into the United States market. The company has already secured collaborations with partners such as WWF, Alstom, Boliden Minerals, GRR Airport, and the Swedish Transport Administration. The first production batches for 2025 are fully booked, indicating strong market demand for Flox's innovative solutions.
