Expanse Medical Opens Providence Facility with Support from Rhode Island Life Science Hub
Expanse Medical announced it will open a new facility in Providence, Rhode Island, with support from the Rhode Island Life Science Hub, according to a press release. The new site will serve as the company’s East Coast base and as the launchpad for Valorian Medical Technologies, a new venture focused on men’s health innovation.
The Providence facility will connect engineering talent, clinicians, and investors, contributing to Rhode Island’s growing life sciences community. Valorian will leverage Expanse’s product development and clinical capabilities to develop medical technologies addressing men’s health conditions, including erectile dysfunction.
The expansion follows the launch of FlowPhysix, another Expanse portfolio company based in Austin, Texas, which commercialized the FDA-cleared FLOWRUNNER Aspiration System for treating blood clots. Expanse’s new Providence presence aims to strengthen collaboration with innovators and accelerate medical device development across the East Coast.
