Exa Labs Releases Exa 3.0 Search Engine for AI Agents

Oct 19, 2026
Exa Labs released Exa 3.0 with updated web retrieval, a lower cost API tier and Dynamic Highlights for reducing token use.

Exa Labs released Exa 3.0 on October 18, according to Startup Fortune. The company says the search engine ranked first across eight internal benchmark comparisons involving services from Perplexity, Brave Search and Parallel.

Exa reported scores of 91.8% on BrowseComp, 88.2% on DSQA, 56.1% on WideSearch, 42.0% on ATLAS, 75.5% on WebCode and 68.0% on FinSearchComp. The results are based on company testing, and Exa did not publish raw outputs or an independently reproducible test framework.

The release includes Exa Lite, priced at $4 per 1,000 requests for applications with high search volumes. Exa also made Dynamic Highlights generally available. The feature extracts relevant passages from web pages and, according to the company, uses 95% fewer tokens than providing an agent with complete page text.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
