EnterpriseDB has announced new agentic database and converged analytics capabilities for its EDB Postgres AI platform, designed to unify intelligence, analytics, and governance directly at the data layer.

EnterpriseDB announced in a press release new agentic database and converged analytics capabilities for its EDB Postgres AI platform. The update aims to bring intelligence, analytics, and governance together at the data layer on a single open Postgres foundation that enterprises can own and control.

The new agentic database transforms Postgres from a manually managed system into a self-optimizing one. It monitors operational and performance metrics continuously and applies configuration changes automatically within defined policies. The converged analytics capability enables analytics at scale with continuous data availability through a zero-ETL architecture.

EnterpriseDB stated that these features provide real time analytics and petabyte scale warehousing, while lowering analytics costs and improving performance. The platform is built on open standards and supports enterprises in maintaining control over their data strategy without proprietary lock-in.
