Elsevier is developing a next-generation AI-powered solution for researchers, announced in a press release. This comprehensive AI tool aims to transform the research workflow by helping scientists move faster from insights to impact while maintaining research integrity and transparency.

The new solution will empower researchers to identify emerging areas of inquiry, uncover knowledge gaps, and connect with collaborators. It builds on the success of ScienceDirect AI and Scopus AI, offering a seamless assistant for brainstorming, project planning, literature review, and funding discovery.

Elsevier's AI solution will feature 'Trust Cards' to show how evidence was used, highlight confidence levels, and provide risk assessments for potential inaccuracies. It will also include certified content, curated datasets, and allow users to add their own content. The solution is designed with enterprise-grade security and privacy principles.

A closed beta version has been launched, with a full release expected in Q1 2026. Existing ScienceDirect AI customers will have access to the new solution as part of their subscriptions.
