Elisa Plans Commercial AI RAN Validation in Finland for 2027
Elisa will work with NVIDIA and Nokia to validate AI RAN technology in a live commercial network in Finland in 2027, the operator said in a press release. Elisa also plans to deploy AI applications on distributed infrastructure across its network.
The companies completed a trial that ran voice, mobile data, and video analytics simultaneously on a shared computing platform over Elisa's 5G Advanced network in Helsinki. The trial used Nokia's AI RAN software and an NVIDIA Aerial RAN Computer with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPU.
Elisa is deploying Dell PowerEdge servers with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs at several network locations in Finland. The servers will provide distributed computing capacity for current AI inference workloads and future AI RAN services.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
