ElevenLabs Unveils Music v2 Model with Genre Switching and Section Editing
ElevenLabs has launched Music v2, a new version of its AI music generation model that can switch genres within a single track announced on its website. The model handles complex vocals and compositions and allows creators to edit specific sections of a song without affecting the rest.
Music v2 enables transitions between styles such as opera, heavy metal, and rap while maintaining coherence. It also supports embedding non-musical sound effects and provides improved reliability across languages, lyrics, and arrangements. Users can build full songs by generating sections like intros, verses, and choruses, then combining them into complete compositions.
The model powers three platforms: ElevenMusic for creators to compose and remix tracks, ElevenAPI for developers to integrate music generation into products, and ElevenCreative for brands needing licensed music for content and advertising. ElevenLabs has reduced pricing for ElevenAPI and ElevenCreative customers by up to 50 percent.
Music v2 is trained entirely on licensed data and cleared for commercial use, ensuring that generated tracks can be used without additional clearance or fees. It is available now through ElevenMusic and ElevenCreative, with ElevenAPI access coming soon.
