Echo launches Frontier to patch zero day vulnerabilities before disclosure
Echo Software Inc. announced in a press release the general availability of Echo Frontier, a service that finds unknown software vulnerabilities and delivers tested patches before public disclosure. The service combines model based analysis with human security research to identify and reproduce flaws.
Echo Frontier validates findings with a working proof of concept, identifies affected software versions, and coordinates disclosure with maintainers. It then develops patches, including fixes for older versions, and tests them against the exploit and the full application in a cloud environment.
Customers receive patched software privately through their existing JFrog or Nexus infrastructure, along with records documenting detection and remediation. Echo later moves customers to the official upstream fix when it becomes available.
