DropGenie has closed its Seed+ financing round to support the commercial launch of its first gene editing product, announced in a press release. The round was led by Skeleton Key, with participation from Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, CQDM, Real Ventures, and Anges Québec.

The funding will be used to scale manufacturing, build commercial operations, and accelerate adoption among customers. DropGenie’s platform enables high throughput, miniaturized gene editing workflows that reduce the number of cells and reagents needed per experiment. This approach lowers costs and shortens editing turnaround time while allowing direct edits on primary patient cells.

The company’s technology has already been validated through an Early Access Program with major pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations. DropGenie’s process generates standardized, high quality gene editing data that supports data driven discovery across cell therapy and functional biology.
