DriveU.auto Receives Investment from Ashdod Port to Advance Autonomous Terminal Tractors
DriveU.auto has received a strategic investment from Ashdod Port Company through its innovation and investment arm, Blue Ocean CVC, announced in a press release. The funding follows a successful proof-of-concept that validated DriveU.auto's Autonomous Terminal Tractor (ATT) operating in live port conditions.
The ATT Retrofit Kit developed by DriveU.auto enables existing terminal tractors to become autonomous without requiring new infrastructure or fleet replacement. This approach allows port operators to scale automation gradually while improving efficiency and safety.
Ashdod Port currently operates around 80 terminal tractors and is adopting automation to enhance operational flexibility. Supported by the investment and a recent acquisition, DriveU.auto plans to accelerate development of its industrial autonomous vehicle technology, combining autonomous driving with remote operation capabilities to maintain performance in complex environments.
