Digg Relaunches as AI News Aggregator
Digg has reappeared as an AI-focused news aggregator after shutting down its Reddit-style version earlier this year, according to the company website. The platform now ranks AI stories by analyzing engagement data from X and tracking influential voices in the space.
The redesigned site presents four featured stories on its homepage, including the most viewed, fastest rising, and trending discussions. It also lists top daily stories with engagement metrics such as views, comments, and likes. These figures are drawn from X rather than Digg itself, reflecting real-time activity and sentiment analysis.
Digg currently monitors 1,000 leading figures in AI, ranking both individuals and companies by relevance. The project is in an early alpha stage hosted at di.gg, with plans to expand beyond AI once the model proves effective. CEO Kevin Rose said the goal is to identify meaningful signals amid the growing volume of online noise.
