Dia AI Browser Integrates Popular Arc Features
The AI browser Dia is incorporating several of Arc’s most popular features as part of its latest updates. The move was confirmed by The Browser Company founder Josh Miller, who said Dia will bring back Arc’s “greatest hits,” such as the sidebar mode, while introducing AI-native capabilities like memory and agents.
The update follows The Browser Company’s acquisition by Atlassian for $610 million. The company continues to operate independently but is now developing integrations with Atlassian’s Jira and other productivity tools. Early users have already seen features like Focus Mode, vertical tabs, pinned tabs in grid view, and automatic picture-in-picture for Google Meet sessions.
Dia’s team is also testing pinned tabs and exploring how to adapt Arc’s Spaces — separate browsing areas with dedicated themes, favorites, and histories — for the new browser. Future updates may include swipeable profiles and search enhancements inspired by Arc Search for the mobile app planned in 2026.
Miller said Dia’s architecture is designed for improved AI performance, security, and speed, while reducing the complexity that limited Arc’s wider adoption.
