DeepSight Technology Adds Scott Huennekens to Board
DeepSight Technology appointed Scott Huennekens to its board of directors, the company announced in a press release. The appointment follows the completion of a Series C financing as DeepSight develops its Physical AI platform for interventional medicine.
Huennekens previously served as president and CEO of Volcano Corporation, which Philips acquired in 2015. He also led Verb Surgical, a surgical robotics venture formed by Google and Johnson & Johnson, before Johnson & Johnson acquired it in 2020.
DeepSight combines sensing, ultrasound imaging and AI to provide information about instrument position and surrounding anatomy during minimally invasive procedures. Its NeedleVue technology focuses on instrument tip localization, while OnPoint is being developed to provide ultrasound imaging from the instrument tip.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
