CrowdStrike Acquires Onum to Enhance Real-Time Threat Detection
CrowdStrike has announced its acquisition of Onum, a Madrid-based startup known for its real-time data pipeline technology, for approximately $290 million. This acquisition is set to enhance CrowdStrike's Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform by integrating Onum's capabilities in real-time telemetry pipeline management, announced in a press release.
Onum's technology is designed to eliminate data migration barriers and deliver autonomous in-pipeline threat detection, which will allow CrowdStrike to offer faster and more efficient cybersecurity solutions. The acquisition is expected to provide significant improvements in speed, cost, and incident response times, with Onum's platform delivering up to five times more events per second than its nearest competitor.
George Kurtz, CEO of CrowdStrike, emphasized that the integration of Onum will enable the Falcon platform to stream high-quality, filtered data directly into the system, driving autonomous cybersecurity at scale. This strategic move aligns with CrowdStrike's vision of transforming its Falcon platform into the operating system of cybersecurity, offering enhanced protection and performance for its clients.
