Cornerstone Robotics Sentire Surgical System Receives CE Mark Approval in Europe
Cornerstone Robotics has received European Union CE mark certification for its Sentire Surgical System, announced in a press release. The approval covers minimally invasive procedures in general surgery, gynecology, thoracic, and urology specialties, granting access to European markets under the Medical Device Regulation.
The Sentire Surgical System integrates engineering, software, and imaging technologies for surgical applications. The certification confirms compliance with European safety and quality standards. The company began clinical investigations in 2025 with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, completing several complex procedures across multiple specialties.
Cornerstone Robotics established a UK subsidiary in 2025 to provide training, technical support, and post-sale services for European clients. The company has already conducted multiple training sessions to prepare clinical teams for system adoption and commercial rollout.
The Sentire platform was developed entirely in-house, supported by the company’s vertically integrated research and manufacturing operations. The CE mark follows the company’s 2025 financing round of about 200 million US dollars, which supported its global expansion and commercialization plans.
