Copia Automation Adds Generative AI to DeviceLink for Industrial Code Management
Copia Automation has integrated generative AI into its DeviceLink automated backup and disaster recovery platform, announced in a press release. The update enables automatic generation of human-readable summaries that describe modifications in industrial control code, such as PLC, HMI, and robot programs.
The AI system analyzes the code changes stored in DeviceLink and embeds concise summaries into change notifications, job histories, and Git-based workflows. This allows engineers and security teams to quickly understand what logic has been added, removed, or altered without manual code review.
According to the company, the integration enhances operational technology (OT) cyber resilience by helping detect unauthorized edits and supporting compliance with standards like NIS2 and ISO 27001. The combination of automated backups and AI-generated summaries is designed to reduce recovery times and improve visibility into system changes across manufacturing environments.
