commercetools Introduces Tools to Speed Enterprise Commerce Launches

June 24, 2026
commercetools has announced commercetools for Builders and Commerce Integration Layer, designed to help enterprises create and connect commerce systems in days instead of months.

commercetools announced in a press release the launch of commercetools for Builders and Commerce Integration Layer, two new offerings intended to help enterprises create and connect digital commerce systems much faster than traditional methods.

commercetools for Builders enables users to build B2B and B2C commerce experiences in days using the same infrastructure that supports major global brands. It works with AI development tools such as Claude Code, v0, and Cursor, allowing users to generate storefronts, catalogs, and checkout experiences through natural language prompts.

Commerce Integration Layer focuses on simplifying connections between commerce platforms and external systems like search, content, promotions, and tax services. It provides a single integration point to reduce repetitive development work and lower implementation costs.

Both products are built on commercetools' Sphere platform, which was designed with an API native architecture to support AI driven development. commercetools for Builders is available now through the company’s open documentation and developer resources, while Commerce Integration Layer will be released later in the year.
