CluePoints Releases Three AI Tools for Clinical Data Review

September 03, 2026
CluePoints has released three AI capabilities for query detection, medical and safety review, and medical coding in clinical trials.

CluePoints announced in a press release the general availability of three AI capabilities for clinical data review. Intelligent Query Detection, Medical & Safety Review, and Intelligent Medical Coding were developed and tested with a top 10 pharmaceutical company and are active across most of the partner's ongoing studies.

Intelligent Query Detection continuously identifies clinical or operational records that require attention. Medical & Safety Review combines data from multiple sources in a patient centered workflow, lets reviewers initiate queries in the same validated environment, and records audit ready evidence.

Intelligent Medical Coding uses deep learning to suggest MedDRA and WHODrug codes based on an organization's validated coding history. CluePoints said it can reach up to 99% accuracy for MedDRA coding and reduce manual coding work by about 50%. The capability operates within Veeva Vault EDC.
