Clear Current Secures $4M for AI-Powered Energy Management
Clear Current has raised over $4 million in a seed funding round led by Rho Ignition, with participation from Coreline Ventures and Avesta Fund, announced in a press release. The funding will support the launch of Clear Current's AI-powered virtual energy manager, designed to optimize energy management for enterprises.
The platform functions as a 24/7 virtual energy manager, automating tasks that traditionally required extensive manual analysis. It employs advanced machine learning to extract insights from complex energy documents, identifying cost-saving opportunities that conventional systems might miss. This AI-driven system orchestrates energy intelligence across procurement, forecasting, consumption, and reporting.
Clear Current's leadership team, including CEO John Reuter and CTO Jake Masters, brings significant experience in energy and AI development. The company is already piloting its platform with major organizations like Anheuser-Busch InBev, aiming to transform enterprise energy management by providing cognitive capabilities that allow energy teams to act swiftly.
The investment will also help Clear Current expand its market presence across the U.S. and contribute to the tech ecosystem in New Mexico by creating high-quality technology jobs. Montauk Climate, a co-founder of Clear Current, emphasizes the importance of intelligent systems in adapting to rapidly changing energy conditions.
