CIQ Introduces Rocky Linux for AI Workloads

CIQ has launched Rocky Linux from CIQ for AI, a Linux distribution optimized for artificial intelligence applications, offering enhanced performance and security.

CIQ has unveiled Rocky Linux from CIQ for AI (RLC-AI), an operating system specifically designed for artificial intelligence workloads, announced in a press release. This tech preview version of Rocky Linux is optimized to deliver improved performance, stability, and security for AI model tuning and inference.

RLC-AI is built on the stable kernel.org long-term release, enhanced with AI-specific optimizations. It supports advanced hardware from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, and integrates seamlessly with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. The system includes proprietary and out-of-tree modules, eliminating the need for post-installation setup and ensuring compatibility with new hardware.

The operating system aims to reduce infrastructure costs and accelerate deployment by providing immediate access to optimized environments. It also enhances performance and reliability through lower latency and consistent AI workload execution, making it a robust choice for organizations looking to scale their AI deployments efficiently.
