CGTN Launches News Pal for AI News Summaries

Oct 22, 2026
News Pal combines reporting from multiple outlets into concise briefings and answers questions using available articles.

CGTN launches News Pal, a web based AI news companion that collects and summarizes coverage about China and global events, the broadcaster announced in a press release. The service became available in October.

News Pal combines reports from multiple media outlets into concise briefings. Its summaries can draw from dozens of articles on one topic, remove repeated information and provide links to the original reports.

A chat feature lets users ask additional questions. The system searches available articles and bases its answers on relevant reports rather than relying only on a language model's internal knowledge.

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
