Canopy Studies Highlight Reduced Hospitalizations and Longer Treatment Durations at ASCO 2026

Canopy announced that two studies using its Remote Therapeutic Monitoring Platform have been selected for presentation at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting, showing reduced hospitalizations, cost savings, and improved treatment persistence for oncology patients.

Canopy announced that two studies using its Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) Platform have been selected for presentation at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, according to a press release.

The first study, titled *Impact of remote therapeutic monitoring with patient reported outcomes on hospitalization in real world patients receiving therapy for metastatic solid tumors*, will be presented on May 31, 2026. It analyzed 1,549 patients and found that active RTM use was associated with a 28 percent reduction in hospitalizations and lower emergency department visits. The results also indicated an estimated annual acute care cost savings of 3.1 million dollars per 1,000 patients, with the greatest benefit among those at highest baseline risk.

The second study, *Impact of remote therapeutic monitoring on time to discontinuation and acute care events among patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors*, will be presented as a poster on June 1, 2026. Involving 1,598 patients, it found that RTM users had a 79 percent longer median time to treatment discontinuation, a 51 percent lower risk of hospitalization at 12 months, and an estimated annual cost savings of 12.6 million dollars per 1,000 patients. The study also reported higher detection rates of immune related symptoms and increased outpatient steroid use.

Previous studies have shown that the Canopy RTM platform can reduce emergency visits and infection related hospitalizations while improving treatment adherence and early toxicity detection in oncology care.
