BD Introduces AI-Driven Hemodynamic Monitoring Platform
BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) has launched the HemoSphere Alta, a next-generation hemodynamic monitoring platform that incorporates AI-driven clinical decision support, announced in a press release. This platform is designed to help clinicians proactively manage blood pressure instability and optimize blood flow during critical medical procedures.
The HemoSphere Alta platform features predictive algorithms, including the new Cerebral Autoregulation Index (CAI), which provides personalized insights into a patient's blood pressure needs. This is achieved through the use of noninvasive sensors and advanced software, such as the Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI), which predicts potential low blood pressure events.
The platform also boasts a user-friendly design with a 15-inch high-resolution touchscreen, voice and gesture commands, and customizable display options to streamline clinical workflows. These enhancements aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care by providing clinicians with more comprehensive insights and decision support.
