Bank of America reported a record 30 billion digital client interactions in 2025, driven by AI tools like its virtual assistant Erica and digital payment services such as Zelle and CashPro.

Bank of America clients interacted digitally with the bank approximately 30 billion times in 2025, marking a 14% increase from the previous year, announced in a press release. The total includes 16.6 billion logins and 13.3 billion alerts sent, both record highs. The number of alert subscribers reached 38 million, with 86% of clients rating their digital experience at least 9 out of 10.

The bank’s AI-powered virtual assistant, Erica, recorded nearly 700 million interactions with 20.6 million users in 2025. Since its launch in 2018, Erica has facilitated over 3.2 billion client interactions. Zelle adoption also grew, with 25 million active users completing 1.8 billion transactions worth $556 billion, representing growth of 16% and 18% year-over-year, respectively.

For business clients, the CashPro platform saw a 20% rise in mobile sign-ins and processed $1.2 trillion in mobile payment approvals, up 15% year-over-year. The Life Plan digital tool, which helps clients manage financial goals, has reached 21.5 million plans created, with 3 million users engaging in Spanish.

The bank received over 300 awards for digital leadership in 2025, including top rankings from J.D. Power and Keynova Group, and a Forrester Technology Award for Data & AI Impact.
