AvaWatz Named Prime Contractor for $151B MDA SHIELD Program
AvaWatz has been awarded prime contractor status on the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s $151 billion, 10-year SHIELD (Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense) program, announced in a press release. The SHIELD multiple-award IDIQ contract is one of the largest defense modernization efforts in U.S. history.
As a prime contractor, AvaWatz will be eligible to compete for task orders supporting continuous, layered protection against air, missile, space, cyber, and hybrid threats across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. The company will deploy its artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance real-time threat detection, coordinated response systems, and autonomous decision-making.
AvaWatz develops mission-critical AI and Trusted AI systems for defense, security, industrial, and commercial applications, focusing on reliable performance in high-stakes environments.
