Augment Code has introduced a redesigned user interface for its agents, featuring new tabs for improved workflow management, available in VS Code v0.549.1 and soon in IntelliJ.

Augment Code has introduced a new user interface feature called Agent Tabs, designed to enhance the workflow management of its agents. Announced on their website, the update includes tabs for Thread, Tasks, and Edits, which are now integrated into the chat header. This redesign aims to maximize readability and provide a dedicated view for each stage of the workflow, allowing users to navigate multi-step processes more efficiently.

The new interface utilizes the full vertical space, offering cleaner ergonomics and better visibility. This update is currently available in VS Code version 0.549.1 and will soon be supported in IntelliJ, expanding its accessibility to more developers.
