Astera Labs Founders Named EY World Entrepreneurs of the Year 2026
Jitendra Mohan, Sanjay Gajendra, and Casey Morrison, co-founders of Astera Labs, were named EY World Entrepreneurs of the Year 2026 at a ceremony held in Monaco's Salle des Etoiles, announced in a press release. The trio was selected from nearly 5,000 participants representing 58 national winners across 46 countries. They are the fourth winners from the United States in the award’s 26-year history.
The three engineers founded Astera Labs in 2017 after leaving positions at a major semiconductor company. Their goal was to create software defined connectivity solutions tailored for AI data centers. Starting from a garage in Silicon Valley, the company has grown to over 1,000 employees in 13 global offices. Astera Labs went public in 2024 and currently holds a market capitalization of about 54 billion dollars.
EY stated that the award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional spirit, purpose, growth, and impact. The judging panel, chaired by Venture Worx CEO Asif Ramji, evaluated nominees from around the world on these criteria. Mohan, Gajendra, and Morrison were recognized for their contributions to AI infrastructure and their sustained business growth since 2022.
