Appian has announced new platform capabilities that embed AI agents directly into enterprise processes, according to a press release. The update includes the general availability of Agent Studio and Appian Composer, alongside enhancements to the company’s data fabric.

Agent Studio allows organizations to deploy AI agents that can reason, handle unexpected conditions, and act on enterprise data to automate complex workflows. These agents are embedded within processes, providing governance and auditability. Business users can define goals in natural language, while the agents determine optimal paths using Appian’s data fabric.

Appian Composer, also generally available, enables users to create applications quickly using an AI-guided interface. Over 130 organizations have already built more than 1,300 applications with the tool. It helps users plan and design applications collaboratively across business and IT teams.

The company also reported that its data fabric now supports up to 50 million rows with five times faster write throughput and includes transparent data encryption for improved security compliance.
